Dedicated Full-time Resources

The WitSource core business plan is based on providing full-time, dedicated resources (employees) to our clients. These employees work exclusively for your company, but are placed in our office in India. We provide all the infrastructure, including local Indian management and supervision, but they report directly to you.

Upon request, these employees may be available to you during your business hours (regardless of the time-zone), making it possible for them to work as part of your existing local team(s)... or you may schedule them in conjunction with other team member(s) located anywhere in the world in order to acheive a "follow-the-sun" development environment. Your employees will be available through email, instant messenger, or telephone. Dedicated employees are contracted for a minimum period of six (6) months.

How does this work?

We begin by having one of our US-based representatives sit down and learn what it is that you need. We build a profile that lists the technologies the employee will use, and the level of experience you require. Only then do we begin the recruitment process.

Once we identify a candidate that fills your needs, we will provide the office, hardware, software, security, administration, HR, payroll, taxes, employee benefits, and all other overhead. Your only expense and liability is your monthly payment to us... allowing you time to concentrate on your core-business objectives.

Project-based work

WitSource does not generally accept projects. This is done for two reasons. First, maintaining a staff of employees that complete project-based work would cause fluctuating work loads that would either require idle time or reqular lay-offs of employees between projects - neither of which are good for office morale.

The second reason that we do not generally accept projects is because it births dishonesty. Suppose that your Outsource Provider accepts a project, but is understaffed, and cannot complete it on time... do you think they'll let the project miss it's deadline... or will they work your "so-called" dedicated resource part-time on that project in the evenings? What do you think they'll do when their Project-based employee is assigned as a dedicated team-member on a development project and one of their prior projects goes into Phase II or needs something debugged?

Most all companies that we've known to have "failed" at outsourcing have indicated that the main reason was improductivity. We have learned through sad experience that this is almost always caused by dishonesty... and it usually boils down to charging a client full-price for an employee that is only able to dedicate part-time work to that client. Our philosphy is to eliminate the source of this dishonesty.

Exceptions to the Rule

Project-based work done in the US is very expensive. Small offshore companies are riddled with dishonesty. So, how can you safely take advantage of offshore development for your project? We can help.

If your project is large (six months or more in duration), we will gladly accept the project and complete it - based on an hourly development rate. Our hourly rates vary, depending on the expertise required, but are around $20 USD per hour. Project-based work would come with a zero-guarantee that Phase II or Phase III portions of the application would be completed by the same developer(s) that completed Phase I... unless the development flow does not cease between phases.

If your project is smaller (less than six month's duration), we can refer your project to other offices in India that we have come to trust, or recommend local US-based providers that do excellent work.
